Here at P.R.R., we utilize state of the art outboard modern and vintage mic pre’s and compressors, mixed with the finest digital automation, routed through an Inward Connections Mix690. This combination makes for crystal clear, punchy mixes, on par with large consoles. Exceptional low-end retention with clarity in the highs, capped with a punchy, perceptually loud midrange, will add excitement to any mix.
With 30+ years in the business, P.R.R. understands all aspects of the creative process. Writing, arranging, performing, and capturing the moment takes a high level of skill, patience, and most of all, experience. We take pride in possessing these qualities, and maintain them to their highest degree.
Recording drum tracks and drum loops, for your project, is top priority here at P.R.R. With Major and Indie label experience, we provide Major Label, radio ready quality recordings. We also provide an array of drum choices from modern to vintage, with vintage being our specialty.
Video editing is another aspect of the music industry that we can accommodate. Offering a unique perspective, and a more modern approach to editing, help keep our cutting edge videos budget friendly, while maintaining a high level of creativity.
Panic Room Records is a self contained A room recording facility, and production company, located in Southern California . Tracking, editing, mixing, mastering and video editing are all completed onsite. Clients include NBC Sports, CBS, CW Network, Fuel Channel, Disney, FOX Sports, Nestle, and Spike TV, along with signed, and independent artists, spanning many musical genres. We pride ourselves on a unique approach to recording, and refuse the "cookie cutter" standard in which many of today's bands/artists are recorded and mixed. We are extremely open minded, and are inspired by artists and projects that don't "fit the mold". Beautifully designed, comfortable, and properly equipped. Panic Room Records control room utilizes acoustical hangers in the ceiling, along with Helmholtz resonator designed panel absorber walls, to balance out diffusion with acoustical control. The result is a finely tuned, accurate and enjoyable mixing and listening experience. Mixing digital and vintage analogue outboard gear, blends the best of two worlds, allowing P.R.R. to get as aggressive, or as sensitive, as your project requires.
With the perfect balance of live treatment, concrete walls, Helmholtz resonators, lots of rosewood, and high ceilings, our live room is just that, “live”.
